Position Summary

As an Automotive Service Technician at Jordan Ford, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing customer vehicles while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and safety. You will work closely with the Service Manager to meet performance goals and ensure vehicles are serviced correctly the first time.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot customer concerns using current technical tools and resources
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service at all times
  • Assist in greeting customers near the Service Drive when applicable
  • Stay updated with technical publications and service communications
  • Deliver safe and quality vehicle service on the first attempt
  • Address all original customer concerns before recommending additional services
  • Inspect vehicles for maintenance needs and potential additional services
  • Ensure vehicles are returned to customers clean or cleaner than arrival condition
  • Participate in factory or in-house training programs as available
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and attach necessary forms to repair orders
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
  • Arrive on time in a clean uniform and ready to work

  • Experience performing warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on multiple vehicle makes and models
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance goals

  • Ability to read and understand instructions clearly
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record

Education and Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • ASE certification or equivalent technical aptitude required
  • Technical or trade school degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose vehicle issues accurately using experience, analysis, and testing
  • Maintain the highest level of training and technical expertise as a Master Certified Technician
  • Ensure vehicles are clean and in excellent condition after service or repairs
  • Complete all required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Support shop efficiency by managing inventory, performing general shop duties, and maintaining safety standards
  • Adhere to all shop policies, procedures, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and educational classes as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and business goals

Work Environment

  • Experience at dealer-level or large facility preferred (especially for Master Certified Technicians)

  • Certified by National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) preferred
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Professional and dependable work ethic

  • Ability to read and follow instructions accurately
